Digital Desk: In a symbolic protest against the Agnipath
initiative, members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would send cheques and demand
draft of Rs. 420 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to party official
and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh.
Mr. Singh claimed he would be warned not to do"char sau
bisi (420)" (fraud) with the Indian Army and that the government would be
urged "to not plead for money to protect the country" in a dig at PM
Modi.
Mr. Singh, taking aim at the BJP, declared that the AAP will
launch its protests against the Agnipath programme across the state on Sunday.
The administration is "misleading" the populace, according to the
party, by stating there isn't enough money for border security.
Party Official Mr. Singh informed the press that the party
has decided on Sunday, members of the student and youth wings will urge people
to donate against the policies of the Modi government throughout Uttar Pradesh
and will symbolically protest by sending Rs 420 rupees to the Modi
government through checks and demand drafts.
The AAP representative claimed that the investigation agency
has turned into a puppet of the BJP in reference to the raids conducted by the
Enforcement Directorate (ED) on various opposition politicians.
He asserted that the ED and the BJP's "kidnapping
gang" played the key role in toppling the entire Maharashtra administration.
