Guwahati: The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced on Friday that in order to quickly resolve old and pending cases of citizens residing in the state, the Government of Assam has conceptualized a new initiative named Project Sadbhawna.
This new initiative will help clear the files which have been pending for a long time at the Secretariat. This will also help in resolving these cases quickly and focus on current issues. Besides, it will also help minimize the gathering of people at the Secretariat and track the movements of the files via an online portal.
CM Sarma said that “We aim at clearing all old files prior to May 10, 2021 pending at Secretariat by May 10, 2022. The project will alleviate the hardships of citizens as they won’t have to visit government offices”.
“This will also help in focusing on governance and migrating to e-governance”, he added.
According to a report, this new project will begin with two phases. The first phase comprises a three months time for the citizens to register and quote their file numbers at a dedicated government portal.
