Faizan was not only stabbed but also shot, indicating a potential conspiracy behind his demise...
Digital Desk: In a shocking revelation, new forensic findings have discovered shocking details surrounding the death of Faizan Ahmed, a student from IIT Kharagpur and a native of Assam. According to a report compiled by retired forensic expert Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Faizan was not only stabbed but also shot, indicating a potential conspiracy behind his demise.
Faizan, a third-year mechanical engineering student, was discovered lifeless in a room at Lala Lajpat Rai Hostel on October 14, 2022.
Dr. Gupta's investigation revealed a gunshot wound on the upper left side of Faizan's neck and a stab wound on the right side, crucial details missed in the initial police investigations and the first postmortem at Midnapore Medical College on October 15, 2022. This revelation has sparked significant concerns over the handling of the case and initial conclusions drawn about the cause of death.
Before the discovery of his body, Faizan's family had voiced suspicions of foul play, which have now gained credibility with these new findings. Adding to the mystery, Faizan's body was discovered in a room that was not his assigned hostel accommodation, deepening the intrigue surrounding the circumstances leading to his death.
Responding to mounting public and judicial pressure, the Calcutta High Court ordered a second postmortem on May 27, 2023, conducted at the Kolkata Police Morgue. This examination further confirmed the absence of Faizan’s right temporal bone, consistent with earlier photographic evidence taken at the time his body was found. Moreover, the report dismissed previous suspicions of poisoning that had been presented during proceedings in the High Court.
The case took a dramatic turn when, on March 29 last year, the Calcutta High Court directed the exhumation of Faizan's remains from his hometown in Dibrugarh, Assam, for a more thorough forensic analysis led by Dr. Gupta. Despite the challenges posed by the state of decomposition, the remains were transported to the Kolkata Police morgue in May 2024 for further examination.
Dr. Gupta is expected to present his final report imminently, which will likely shed more light on the circumstances surrounding Faizan's tragic death. With the case set for a hearing before the Calcutta High Court under the new bench of Justice Amrita Sinha, the quest for justice intensifies amid growing public scrutiny and renewed hope for uncovering the truth.
