    Fake lady doctor arrested in Tinsukia on charges of looting two families

    Tinsukia: In yet another case of fake doctor arrest, a fraud lady doctor reportedly looted Rs. 20 lakhs from two families in Tinsukia.





    The two families alleged that the fake lady doctor identified as Trisha Pegu looted the money from them, promising to provide their children MBBS seats in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.





    As per the report, Trisha Pegu who claims to be a topper from AIIMS, once practiced medicine at the Swargadeo Siu Ka Pha Hospital in Sivasagar by producing fake medical certificates. Further, she also went to join the AG Nursing Home, Jorhat as a resident doctor.

    One of the victims of the two families Rubi Kutum said to the media, “Trisha Pegu took Rs. 20 lakhs from me and also Rs. 6 lakhs from one of my relatives promising both of us to provide our children MBBS seats in AIIMS in New Delhi under reservation category.”





    “She said us that she is a topper from AIIMS and so she has two MBBS seats in her hands. We believed her and gave her the money but after that we could not contact her.” added Kutum.





    Moreover, as per reports Trisha Pegu also cheated a woman in Arunachal Pradesh. In connection with the case, a complaint was filed by the woman.





    The woman claimed that Trisha Pegu took the money from her by making various excuses which includes her father's death, her ongoing financial condition and her child's death.





    Reportedly, till now police were unable to trace the location of Trisha Pegu.





    Earlier, a man identified as Ahmed Ali who has been working as a medical officer at Hatiali TE for the past five years in Dibrugarh district was arrested by Dergaon police in June of this year.
