Digital Desk: As counting underway across Assam, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led NDA alliance is maintaining a dominant lead in the Assam Panchayat Polls.
The BJP party has already secured victories in key districts, including Golaghat, Majuli, and Aahotguri.
BJP and AGP are leading in 32 and 2 Zila Parishad constituencies (ZPC) respectively, out of 397 across the state.
BJP candidates are leading in several Zila Parishad Constituencies (ZPCs) under the Golaghat constituency - Tarani, Ratanpur, Watting, and Athkheliya.
In Morangi, Nambor, Khumtai, and Mishamara Zila Parishad Constituencies under the Khumtai constituency, the BJP is also in a commanding position.
BJP is also leading in 294 seats, Congress in 19, AGP in 36, and others in 18, out of 2,192 Anchalik Parishad seats.
The ruling party has already taken a big lead, winning 37 Zila Parishad and 288 Anchalik Panchayat seats unopposed.
