Digital Desk: As Northeast India faces monsoon fury, the flood situation in Assam remains grim on Tuesday with water levels rising in the Brahmaputra river, Barak river and its tributaries in several parts of the state.

The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Guwahati has again issued a warning in 14 districts in the state.
The department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara, and Goalpara on June 3.
Heavy rains are expected in four districts where an orange alert has been issued.
Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been declared in Barpeta, Bongaigaon, West Karbi Anglong, Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Cachar, Sribhumi, Hailakandi, Dhemaji, and Lakhimpur.
A total of 11 individuals have lost their lives due to floods and landslides in Assam.
The authorities have urged people to remain vigilant, stay indoors, and avoid travel unless necessary.
