Digital Desk: In a crackdown on unlicensed IPL gambling activities, Gauripur police apprehended Tayyab Ali and Abdul Malek, two individuals involved in the illicit betting ring. Led by Gauripur police station in-charge Jitumani Bairsh and city sub-inspector Vikas Pratim Mahanta, a late-night raid resulted in the capture of the two IPL gamblers.
During the operation, police seized four mobile phones along with a significant sum of cash amounting to ₹1,89,100 from the perpetrators. Acting on a tip-off, the police targeted their residence in Gauripur Kathalralral Roua III Block village, successfully apprehending them.
