The 24-year-old athlete, who is well-known for her remarkable speed and skill, was placed under provisional suspension by NADA last year after experiencing three whereabouts errors in 12 months

Digital Desk: The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has approved star Indian sprinter Hima Das, and she is all set to make her track comeback at the Indian Grand Prix 1 in Bengaluru, according to sources.

After a hearing last month, sources said that she was given the all-clear by a NADA disciplinary panel.

The 24-year-old athlete, who is well-known for her remarkable speed and skill, was placed under provisional suspension by NADA last year after experiencing three whereabouts errors in 12 months.

Hima is reportedly back in competitive athletics as her name appears on the women's 200-meter race entry for the forthcoming competition.

Hima's talent is evident from his many accomplishments, which include a silver medal in the 400m individual event at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games and contributions to India's relay teams.

Her most recent competition was a 200-meter sprint at the Indian Grand Prix in Bengaluru in April of last year, where she placed first in her class and took home the gold in 23.77 seconds. She was absent for the entire 2023 season after that.

Hima was cleared by the NADA disciplinary panel, but the specifics of her clearance are still unknown, which has led to rumors on the type of infractions she committed and the ruling that followed.

A World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) punishment of up to two years is imposed for several whereabouts failures within a year.
