Digital Desk: Smriti Mandhana (74*) and Harmanpreet Kaur (56*), two outstanding half-centuries, helped the Indian Women's side defeat the West Indies by 56 runs in the T20I Tri-Series. The Asian team scored 167/2 in their opening innings, which was too much for the Caribbean team to overcome.

Mandhana in particular found the boundary with ease and even sent a six soaring off the bowling of Afy Fletcher in the penultimate over of the innings as they easily completed their unbeaten 115-run partnership. The crowd exploded in applause and praise for the duo's outstanding performance as a result of her tremendous strokeplay.

To have any chance of catching up to India's massive score, the West Indies needed to get off to a strong start. However, their dreams were swiftly shattered as Deepti Sharma (2/29) and Rajeshwari Gayakwad (1/16) combined to reduce Hayley Matthews' team to 25/3 in the seventh over.

Shemaine Campbell (47) and Matthews (34*) made a valiant effort to improve the scoring rate, but India's bowlers kept things tight to maintain their perfect series record after defeating South Africa in the first match.
