Digital Desk: Reliance Jio recently announced its first laptop targeted at budget buyers, and over the years the company has a history of launching affordable, feature-rich phones for the masses. With the rollout of the 5G network in India, Jio is now preparing to launch its first 5G phone in the country. The Jio Phone 5G smartphone has been spotted on the benchmarking platform Geekbench, indicating that it will be released soon. Although Reliance Jio has not released any official information about the smartphone, the listing on the benchmarking platform has disclosed the main specifications of the upcoming low-cost Jio Phone 5G.

As per the listing on Greekbench, the Jio Phone 5G sports model number is LS1654QB5. The Jio Phone 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC with an Adreno 619 GPU under the hood. The 5G smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM, and it will likely have 64GB of internal storage. The listing has also verified that the Jio 5G smartphone will come pre-installed with an Android 12 operating system. On Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, Jio Phone 5G.

The Jio Phone 5G received scores of 549 and 1661 on Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. According to reports, the Jio Phone 5G will have a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. At the back, it most likely has a dual camera arrangement. It is said to be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18 W fast charging.
