This is not the end, Instagram also said that users can now import their own audio directly within Instagram Reels.
Digital Desk: In a bid to engage more with its audience,
the photo-sharing platform Instagram has announced that the app is all set to
introduce a few new features, including 90-second Reels.
The platform
owned by Meta informed its users that the platform is now extending the length
of Reels up to 90 seconds, which will help users express their most authentic
selves on Reels.
"You
will have more time to share more about yourself, film extra behind-the-scenes
clips, dig deeper into the nuances of your content, or whatever else you want
to do with that extra time," the company said in a blog post.
This is not
the end, Instagram also said that users can now import their own audio
directly within Instagram Reels.
"Use the
import audio tool to add commentary or background noise from any video on your
camera roll that is at least five seconds long," the company explained.
"Make
sure you like how your voice sounds in the recording because it may be used in
other people's reels!" it continued.
Notably, a
new feature allows producers to poll their audience about what should happen in
their next video, allowing them to help influence the storyline.
Moreover, the platform released
Templates which allows the users to quickly make a reel by using another one as
a template. It preloads the audio and clip placeholders, leaving users with
only the task of adding and trimming their own footage.
The company went on to say, "We'll keep investing in
innovative methods for you to engage your audience and amuse them on Reels. We
can't wait to see what you come up with and how you put these new tools to
creative use!"
