Digital Desk: According to the outage tracking website downdetector.com, Twitter was down for thousands of users on Thursday morning. Users have reported difficulties accessing the web version of the microblogging network, and some have said that their Twitter notifications are also not working.
In India, Twitter users are seeing this notice while trying to access the website: "Something went wrong, but don't panic – it's not your fault. Let's give it another shot," with options to refresh or log out.
At the midst of the outage, around 6.05am IST, DownDetector claimed that over 10,000 individuals were experiencing issues with the platform.
"User reports indicate Twitter has been experiencing issues since 7:13 EST," Downdetector tweeted.
"Twitter is experiencing international outages affecting the mobile app and functionality, including notifications; event is unrelated to country-level internet disruptions or filtering," Netblocks stated in a tweet.
The outage comes just two months after Elon Musk purchased Twitter for USD 44 billion.
