Tired of cab drivers cancelling your rides? Not anymore: Check here why
The company also introduced a special function for drivers earlier this month that would allow them to see where they are going before accepting the ride.

Digital Desk: Uber plans to bring in a number of changes that will make it more difficult for drivers to cancel their rides. The most common problem faced by users who use ride-hailing applications is that they often see unexpected cancellations. When their Uber drivers suddenly cancel on them, passengers are often left stranded in remote areas. Commuters are either required to pay in cash or have their destination revealed before the trip even begins by the driver. The problem will be resolved by Uber's next update.

In a blog post, Uber announced that it is introducing a tool called "upfront fare" that would inform drivers of their expected earnings and the destination of each trip. Uber claims to have completely redesigned the processes involved in having a driver accept a trip.

According to a blog post by Uber, "Our new trip request screen makes it easier for drivers to decide if a trip is worth their time and effort by offering all the information up front, including exactly how much they'll earn and where they're going." The new function would enable drivers to better make choices. Trip cancellations will be reduced as a result. If the driver is aware of the cost and destination of the trip, he will not cancel it. Users can commute in this way without worrying that their trips will be cancelled.

Uber further said that this feature was implemented in different cities and the drivers were happy to get the freedom to choose with the app.

It also introduced a special function for drivers earlier this month that would allow them to see where they are going before accepting the ride.

Drivers on the Uber platform in India may now see the trip destination before accepting the ride, which will increase transparency and reduce frustration for both users and drivers. After being encouraged by a decline in trip cancellations following the experimental launch in May 2022, Uber chose to remove the trip acceptance criterion and roll out the unconditional functionality to all locations. It will keep an eye on customer and driver feedback and adjust as necessary, "Uber said in a statement.
