Digital Desk: Twitter Blue, its premium membership service, has finally arrived in India. The new membership costs Rs 650 per month for individuals who access it through the Twitter website. Users who subscribe using the Android or iOS app would have to pay a monthly cost of Rs 900.
Twitter Blue, which was overhauled last year, provides users with various additional features such as the blue check mark, the ability to edit tweets, longer video postings, structured bookmarks, custom app icons, and the opportunity to use an NFT as a profile image.
On the website, the company is giving discounted pricing for annual subscriptions. If the customer bills their membership monthly, they will end up paying Rs 7,800, however, if they pay it annually, they will save Rs 1,000 and pay Rs 6,800.
Follow the steps to subscribe to Twitter Blue.
Simply click on 'Twitter Blue' in the left column of the website. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to select your desired plan and then proceed with the payment.
The annual plan will only be available on the website.
To reach the menu on Android and iOS, open the app and slide right.
The 'Twitter Blue' option will then appear.
When you click on it, Twitter will allow you to subscribe to the premium service for Rs 900 a month.
Elon Musk stated during the introduction of Twitter Blue in November that regional prices will be determined by the country's purchasing power parity. That does not appear to be the case.
Twitter charges users in the United States $8 (website) for a monthly subscription to Twitter Blue. This is around Rs 660. Subscriptions purchased via Android and iOS cost $11, which equates to Rs 910.
