Digital Desk: When it comes to wedding planning, people leave no stone unturned to make their special day even more special and memorable. From planning multiple events to making top-notch arrangements for the entire ceremony, weddings require a lot of heads and even more ideas than that. So far, we've all heard about weddings organized in large halls, religious places, on lavish cruises, and even in mid-air on airplanes. It is now time to move beyond this, as a space travel company will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to plan a wedding in space. This is not a joke! Through its ambitious concept, the company named Space Perspective will not only take couples into space but also allow them to exchange vows while staring out at the breathtaking view of Earth.
The use of innovative and environmentally conscious carbon-neutral balloon technology by the company will help to capture the imaginations of couples wishing for celestial weddings.
According to a report published in The Cool Down, Space Perspective will launch couples into orbit on its awe-inspiring spacecraft Neptune, which the company claims has a forever commitment to safety and tranquility for newlyweds.
How will the 'wedding spacecraft' work?
The spacecraft will be launched into space by the environmentally friendly SpaceBalloon, which will run on renewable hydrogen, effectively removing the carbon footprint associated with traditional rocket launches. Couples can see Earth's amazing splendour while sitting inside Neptune's large pods. Neptune's solid connection with the capsule and the SpaceBalloon during its journey differentiates it from other spacecraft, ensuring a smooth, safe, and gentle flight.
Couples who want to exchange their wedding vows in space can do so by signing up on Space Perspective's website. The first available slots are expected to be available by late next year. However, the ethereal experience will undoubtedly come at a high cost, with ticket prices starting at $125,000 (approximately Rs 1.03 crore).
Speaking on the same, Jane Poynter, co-founder of Space Perspective, expressed her joy at the demand for 'celestial marriages' and stated that many people have expressed their desire to be the first married couple in space.
