Anju to return to India on August 20; No plan to marry: clarifies Anju's Pak Friend
Nasrulla, the Pakistani friend of Anju, a 34-year-old Indian lady, told the reporters that he has no plans to marry her...

Digital Desk: A married Indian woman named Anju who travelled legally to a rural town in Pakistan to visit a Facebook friend will return to India when her visa expires on August 20, her Pakistani acquaintance said on Monday, dismissing any romantic overtones between them.

Nasrulla aged 29 years stated that he had no intention of marrying Anju aged 34, years who was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and raised in the Rajasthan region of Alwar.

In 2019, Nasrulla and Anju became Facebook friends.

"Anju is visiting Pakistan, and we have no plans to marry," Nasrulla told PTI over the phone from the district's village Kulsho, about 300 km from Peshawar.

"She will return to her country after her visa expires on August 20," he claimed, adding that "Anju is living in a separate room of his home with the other female members of my family."

Anju came to Pakistan's tribal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's Upper Dir area with a valid Pakistani visa to see Nasrulla.

According to an official document provided to Pakistan's High Commission in New Delhi by the Ministry of Interior, the chancery was notified that it had been decided to grant Anju a 30-day visa valid solely for Upper Dir.

Nasrullah has given an affidavit to the local authority indicating that their friendship has no romantic overtones, and Anju will return to India on August 20.

According to the document, she would not leave the Upper Dir district.

"She will definitely go back on August 20 as per her visa documents," police officer Mushtaq stated.

On Sunday, Anju was interviewed in his office by District Police Officer Mushtaq, who reviewed her travel paperwork and granted her a no-objection certificate.

The district administration, according to Nasrullah, has provided appropriate security, and Anju is safe and sound with his family.

The villagers, largely Pashtuns who are deeply devotional, want Anju to return safely to India because they do not want their community to be tarnished as a result of this tragedy.

Arvind, Anju's husband, who is currently in Rajasthan, is hoping that his wife would return soon.

They have a daughter who is 15 years old and a boy who is six years old.

Anju's case is identical to that of Seema Ghulam Haider. Seema, a Pakistani mother of four, snuck into India in 2019 to live with Sachin Meena, a Hindu man she met while playing PUBG.
Anju entered Pakistan officially from India via the Wagah-Attari border.

Arvind, Anju's husband, informed the media in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, that she left home on Thursday under the guise of heading to Jaipur, but the family later discovered she was in Pakistan.

"Anju's husband stated that she left the house on Thursday. She has a valid passport," Assistant Superintendent of Police Bhiwadi Sujit Shankar told PTI.

He said that the family did not file a complaint after learning of Anju's trip to Pakistan.

Arvind told the media at his home that his wife Anju informed her sister that she was in Lahore and that he later spoke to her through WhatsApp call.

He stated that her passport was obtained in 2020 since she planned to apply for a job in another country.

Arvind stated that he had no information she was in contact with anyone on social media.
