Washington: After being banned from most of the top social media networks, the former President of the United States of America Donald Trump has said on Thursday that he will soon be launching his own social media platform. As per reports, the name of the platform will be TRUTH Social.
He said that his main objective to create his own social platform is to fight back against the powerful tech companies who are mostly running big social media companies.
“I created Truth Social and TMGT to stand up to the tyranny of the Big tech companies”, he said.
He also added that it was strange that people are living in a world at the moment where the Taliban is present on Twitter, but not the former president of United States of America. “Your favorite American president has been silenced,” he said.
The Trump Media and Technology Group announced that this new social networking platform will start with a limited beta version in November. Its full rollout can be expected in the first quarter of 2022.

Earlier, Trump was barred from most of the top social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Most of these banns came after the deadly riot in the Capitol after the Trump-led Republican Party lost the elections. These social media companies also accuse Trump of continually using his accounts to share divisive and contentious posts.
Following these banns, Trump started his own official blog to communicate with his supporters in May last year, only to close it down one month later.
Trump has also filed a lawsuit against Twitter. Earlier this month, he asked a district judge to grant a preliminary injunction that would restore his Twitter account, while his case against twitter goes through the courts.
Earlier, he also hinted that he would be running for the 2024 presidential election. But there has been no official announcement regarding this so far.
