"We sincerely request that you, the Committee, consider: Extending and thereby re-opening the Nobel Peace Prize nomination procedure until March 31, 2022 to allow for a Nobel Peace Prize nomination for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine," the statement read. The Nobel Prize announcements will take place from October 3 to 10. A total of 251 people and 92 organisations applied for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022.
