    Indian-origin restaurateur makes it to the New Year Honours List 2022

    Digital Desk: Amritpal Singh Maan, a London-based Indian-origin restaurateur, made it to the New Year Honors List 2022. Amrit Maan is a philanthropist who has fed over 200,000 meals to those in need since the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been granted OBE recognition for his assistance to charity and the community.  





    Amritpal Singh Maan is among those the Queen has rewarded for his contributions to society amid the pandemic. Most people know him as Amrit Maan.





    He is an honest contributor within the Sikh and numerous other communities. For several years, he has helped philanthropy and organizations that engage primarily with the homeless, armed forces, heritage, and arts.





    He is the Managing Director (MD) of Punjab Restaurant in Covent Garden. His great-grandfather established the restaurant in 1946 as the UK's first-ever Punjabi restaurant.

    Amrit Maan has invested almost 1 million pounds worth of meals to the British people, several landmark neighborhood occasions, exhibits, and conferences. Since the pandemic started in March 2020, he has fed more than 200,000 meals to those in need.





    Moreover, as an attorney, he has provided pro bono service to hundreds of sufferers of criminality and traumatic circumstances and provided free legal and business guidance to small firms and communities to date.





    In late 2018, his love of the craftworks directed him to establish up a social firm to attempt to showcase British Punjabi artists and is a trustee and authorized consultant for several other organizations, including Under One Sky, The Seven Dials Trust, Khalsa Academies Trust and The Sharan Project.





    "I was stunned with doubt when I received the email notification of the honor. I'd had a hard day, and it was instantly forgotten!" Amrit Maan stated.





    Amrit Maan added, "I feel truly humbled to have received this award for services to charity and society. Seva's selfless service for the community has been the ethos of our family business since it was founded. I accept this honor not just for me but on behalf of the generations that came before me who made huge sacrifices, took chances, and shared their spirit with me."
