Elon Musk Led DOGE Cancels USD 21 Million For 'Voter Turnout In India': BJP Responds
Taking to X, the official handle of DOGE said, "US taxpayers dollars were going to be spent on the following items, all of which have been cancelled."

Digital Desk: The United States Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, cancelled a USD 21 Million funding, granted by former US President Joe Biden's administration, intended to influence the 'voter turnout in India' on Saturday.

Taking to X, the official handle of DOGE said, "US taxpayers dollars were going to be spent on the following items, all of which have been cancelled."

The DOGE added, "USD 486M to the 'Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening,' including USD 22M for an 'inclusive and participatory political process' in Moldova and USD 21M for voter turnout in India."

The DOGE stated that the cancellations were part of the efforts to improve government efficiency and ensure taxpayers dollars were not being spent on questionable overseas political activities.

Following the cancellations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged saying "external interference in India's electoral process."
