Digital Desk: In a bizarre incident, Mike Itlis, an independent candidate for New York’s 12th Congressional District, has released an adult film on Pornhub to highlight his sex-positive position. The man is campaigning to replace Rep. Jerry Nadler in the US Congress. Itlis has starred opposite pornstar Nicole Sage. As per reports, the video is 13 minutes long and is titled "Bucket List Bonanza."
The video was released three months ago and has more than 1 lakh views.
"If I just talked about it, it wouldn't demonstrate my commitment to the issue and the fact that I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform," Itkis tells City & State.
Itlis points out that he has designed his campaign with a sex-positive approach. He also advocates for abortion rights, decriminalizing sex work, ending adultery laws, and putting an end to government involvement in marriage. However, the candidate is predicted to lose to Nadler.
"You gotta do what you gotta do. The media ignores everybody that's not a Democrat in the city," says Mike Zumbluskas, a Republican who is also running for the same election.
Itkis, the seemingly-progressive candidate born in Ukraine, describes himself as "Not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist."
