Digital Desk: The three-day Charaideo Festival, 2025 began on Thursday at the Charaideo Maidam Ground. This festival has been organized to celebrate the UNESCO World Heritage site tag for the Charaideo Maidam.

Digital Desk: According to AFP, the commander of the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria was killed by a U.S. drone attack on Tuesday.
According to Pentagon Central Command spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Dave Eastburn, Maher al-Agal was murdered while riding a motorbike near Jindayris in Syria, and one of his senior aides was critically injured.
U.S. Army Central Command CENTCOM spokeswoman said, "Maher al-Agal was one of the top four ISIS leaders overall."
According to an international news agency News, U.S. Army Col. Joe Buccino stated, "The elimination of these ISIS officials will hamper the terrorist organization's capacity to design and carry out subsequent assaults."
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Agal was murdered in a drone attack.
The Syrian Civil Defense Force reported one person was killed and another was injured in an attack near Aleppo that targeted a motorbike but did not name those deceased.
The Observatory identified Agal as the Levant governor of the Islamic State, although little information was known about him.
The attack happened five months after Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi, the head of the Islamic State, was killed in a U.S. midnight operation in the northern Syrian town of Atme.
According to U.S. sources, Qurashi perished after setting off a bomb to elude arrest.
2019 saw the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State, after a U.S. military raid in Idlib, Syria. He set off a suicide belt as the U.S. military operation was going on.
