    Digital Desk: The nine-day Hindu holiday of Navratri is enthusiastically observed all over India. It is devoted to the worship of Navdurga, the nine incarnations of the goddess Durga. Shardiya Navratri, also known as Maha Navratri, began on October 15 and will culminate on October 23 with Dussehra as its culmination this year. Maa Brahmacharini is worshipped on the second day of Navratri.

    The unmarried version of Goddess Parvati is known as Maa Brahmacharini. She is pictured as a lovely young lady dressed in white carrying a kamandal (water container) in her left hand and a japa mala (rosary) in her right hand. Hindu scriptures claim that Maa Brahmacharini underwent tremendous penance to please Lord Shiva. She is renowned for her discipline and austerity.

    Day 2 of Navratri 2023: Puja Vidhi For Maa Brahmacharin

    1. Get up early and dress in fresh, clean clothes for the morning puja.
    2. Panchamrit, a sweet dish made of ghee, milk, honey, sugar, and curd, is used to coat the idol of the goddess Brahmacharini.
    3. The idol is next given a coat of vermillion on its forehead.
    4. During the puja, devotees give flowers, akshat, and sandalwood to Goddess Brahmacharini. Along with the goddess, they set up supari and paan.
    5. She is honoured at the puja with her favourite Jasmine flowers.
