Digital Desk: Now that Navratri has begun, there is a festive thrill and a sense of devotion in the atmosphere. The third day of the festival, known as Tritiya, is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Chandraghanta, who represents bravery and beauty. The celebration praises Maa Durga in nine various incarnations. The goddess emerges from the tigress. Often, she is depicted with what looks like a bell-shaped crescent moon on her forehead. She is associated with the colour red, which stands for strength, fervour, bravery, and strength.
Day 3 of Navratri: Date
Tuesday, October 17, is Shardiya Navratri's third day. According to the Panchang, this day is the Tritiya tithi of the Shukla Paksha.
Day 3 of Navratri: Puja Vidhi & Shubh Muhurat
It is recommended that worshippers take a bath, get up early, and dress nicely on Day 3 of Navratri. The goddess's idol can be cleaned with Kesar, Ganga Jal, and Kewra and placed on a platform or in their puja room. Red is a colour that represents strength, life, and energy. It is a hue that can motivate individuals to act and accomplish their objectives. On the third day of Navratri, it is thought that wearing red will attract the graces of Goddess Chandraghanta and bring success and good fortune.
Day 3 of Navratri: Significance
According to beliefs, Goddess Parvati started wearing a half-moon on her forehead after her marriage to Lord Shiva. As Chandraghanta, her five left hands hold the Varada Mudra, while her other four hold a Trishul, Gada, Sword, and Kamandal. She holds a lotus flower, an arrow, a Dhanush, a Japa Mala, and an arrow in each of her four right hands. She also holds the Abhaya Mudra in her fifth right hand.
It is said that Goddess Chandraghanta is a calm goddess who cares much about her followers' well-being. She is acknowledged as being completely equipped for battle. It is also believed that Goddess Chandraghanta is completely prepared for battle. It is reported that the moon bell adorning her brow dispels all types of spirits from her followers.
