1. When we perform greh parvesh puja, the first thing we do on the gas stove is to boil milk and let it spill. According to Vastu, it is lucky if milk spills in the east direction.

2. The milk flowing eastward represents harmony, fortune, good health, and wealth. It is therefore regarded as auspicious.

3. It is also believed that spilled milk in the east direction indicates a happy start in your home.

4. Spilling milk before, during, or after the wedding day indicates bad luck. Also, if you are going out, spilled milk indicates a sign of pending misfortune.
