    World Food Day: Why it is important to celebrate Food Day; Know Here
    "Leave no one behind" is the theme of World Food Day 2022. Although the globe has made progress toward a better future, "too many people have been left behind," says the FAO.

    Digital Desk: World Food Day is celebrated every year on October 16 and was established in 1945 by a specialised agency of the United Nations, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a specialised agency of the United Nations.

    Today’s day is celebrated for the importance of food security all around the world , specifically during the time of crisis. The Food and Agriculture Organization was established by the UN to take this important goal forward. It’s celebrated annually to commemorate the importance of this organisation and also to raise awareness of the striking need of agricultural importance. It is also to remind people of the agricultural schemes taken by governments around the world.

    However, in recent times, World Food Day has started focusing on different aspects of food security like agriculture, including fishing communities,bio diversity, and climate change.

    Different themes for World Food Day in the past are  Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too; Feeding the world, caring for the earth, Social Protection and Agriculture: and Breaking the Cycle of Rural Poverty  etc.

    World Food Day reminds us that getting together with friends and family around a well-set table is a privilege that not everyone can enjoy, but is one that everyone should experience.
