Nation Honors The Unyielding Courage And Sacrifice Of The Armed Forces On The Vijay Diwas…

Digital Desk:  16th December  has its historical context as to both India and Bangladesh. On this day in 1971, the Indian Army emerged victorious on the Pakistan team, which means freedom for Bangladesh. In order to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, the 16th of December is being celebrated as the Vijay Diwas (Victory Day).

This time President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Son, Home Minister Amit Shah, and many other leaders have saluted the martyrs of the war.

President Murmu paid respect to the brave and laid down life of the soldiers saying she has immense respect for their relentless bravery. In a like manner, engaging the Ex–Service man on a send-off program, Prime Minister Modi recalled the heroism of the soldiers who helped India to execute a historic victory in the year 1971 while pointing to the fact the soldiers sacrificed their lives for the country. Vijay Diwas remains a day on which the highest value is given to remember and appreciate these heroes and their courage.

The day commemorates the victory of India over Pakistan in the year 1971. After the 13-day war Pakistan officially surrendered at Dhaka and, East Pakistan was liberated and became Bangladesh.

In a statement given to the press today marking the putative Bangladesh Victory Day), Sheikh Hasina said that during the last Sheikh Hasina’s Statement on Bangladesh Victory Day

In defeating the Nazimuddin-Pike government Sheikh Hasina posted a statement on the occasion of the Victory Day to the people of Bangladesh arguing that Muhammad Yunus’s government was insensitive to the spirit of the Liberation War. She said had they had the opportunity they would have probably expunged the liberation war from every facet of our lives. The prime minister and the leader of the Awami League, Sheikh Hasina, called Yunus’s government fascist.

In the end of her speech, Sheikh Hasina said that Bengalis have defeated all the forces against independence and we will fight every power, which is against our nation. She told newspersons she felt confident about the continuity of the spirit of the Liberation War generation to general.
