    Digital Desk: A tanker collided with several vehicles at Pune's Navale bridge on Sunday, causing at least 30 injuries. According to a spokesman of the Pune Fire Brigade, the accident caused a 48-vehicle pileup.

    "A major road accident occurred at Navale bridge on the Pune-Bengaluru highway in Pune in which about 48 vehicles got damaged. Rescue teams from the Pune Fire Brigade and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) have reached the spot," the official said. 



    The Pune Fire Brigade and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority have sent rescue teams to the site.


    A tanker crashed with several vehicles after its brakes failed, according to local media. Oil leaked into the roadway during the collision, which occurred at 9 p.m., making it slick, which led to the addition of more automobiles to the pileup.


    On the highway leading to Mumbai, the accident has caused traffic bottlenecks that are nearly two kilometres long.

    Since a few days ago, accidents have been occurring often on Navle Bridge. On Friday, a woman died after being struck by a speeding car on the outer ring road close to the bridge.
