Singh stated that the statements made by Dinesh Arora were the reason his name was added to the list.
Digital Desk: Following an ED raid at his Delhi home in relation to the Delhi Excise Policy Case, AAP MP Sanjay Singh was taken into custody. With the former deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, it is the second major arrest in the case.
The AAP MP said in a letter to TV Somanathan, the Finance Secretary, that the ED director and assistant director purposefully and without cause linked his name to the alleged liquor fraud, sullying his reputation and defaming him.
Singh stated that the statements made by Dinesh Arora were the reason his name was added to the list. The AAP leader also said that the officers abused their authority to damage his reputation and requested that they be put on trial. He continued by saying that he had already served the offending officers with a legal notice demanding an immediate and public apology.
In the ED chargesheet, the AAP leader's name appears four times, four of which, according to ED sources, were written accidentally. Rahul Singh, the then-excise commissioner, was occasionally mentioned instead of Sanjay Singh.
