Digital Desk: The department has begun a new trial for AC helmets for police officers working at traffic signals during the scorching summer months.
According to the insights, a battery was utilised to power the helmet, which will shield the officers from the blistering heat as well as dust, sunshine, and pollution.
As a result of this trial, some police officers were recently observed wearing AC helmets while on duty in Ahmedabad. More information will be provided in the future.
Traffic officers are usually provided with raincoats in the rain and jackets in the winter, but in the summer, officers must perform their duties on the road in the hot sun. Even though the rainy season is currently in effect in the city, when it does not rain, the city becomes quite hot in the afternoon. As a result of this new experiment, police officers are performing their duties in much better conditions, even in the sweltering heat.
This helmet looks like any other helmet, but within it is a fan that blows cool air like an air conditioner. The helmet can be used for several hours after it has been charged. The battery and the helmet are linked by a cable that must be fastened around the waist of the person using this helmet. However, this experiment is still in its early stages. Its usefulness to employees will be revealed only after it is completed.
