The price rise has been implemented as a result of an increase in the overall cost of operation and milk production.
Digital Desk: Gujarat dairy co-operative Amul has announced a fresh milk price hike of up to Rs 3 per litre. The new price will be effective from today.
Amul Gold will now cost Rs 66 per litre, Amul Taaza will cost Rs 54 per litre, Amul cow milk will cost Rs 56 per litre, and Amul A2 buffalo milk will cost Rs 70 per litre, according to a statement released by Amul on Thursday.
The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells dairy products under the Amul brand, raised the price of its Gold, Taaza, and Shakti milk brands by Rs 2 per litre in October.
The price rise was implemented as a result of an increase in the overall cost of operation and milk production.
According to Amul, the cost of cattle feeding has risen by nearly 20%.
