Delhi acid attack: BJP MP Gautam Gambhir says it must be publically executed
A 17-year-old girl was injured after two bike riders allegedly threw an acid-like material at her on a road near the Dwarka Metro station...

Digital Desk: BJP MP Gautam Gambhir, stated on Wednesday that the man who poured acid at a schoolgirl in Dwarka, Delhi, should be publicly executed by police.

According to police, a 17-year-old girl was hurt after two bike-riding guys allegedly flung an acid-like material at her on a road near Dwarka Metro station in southwest Delhi.

"Words cannot express how grateful I am. We must instil in these animals a terror of unfathomable suffering. "Authorities must publicly execute the boy who threw acid at a schoolgirl in Dwarka," a visibly enraged cricketer-turned-politician tweeted.

The injured girl was taken to Safdarjung Hospital and is being treated. According to the authorities, her preliminary treatment reports are fine.

"One person has been apprehended after the injured girl expressed suspicions about two people she knows. We are questioning the detained individual. "Further inquiry is underway," said Harsha Vardhan Mandava, deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka).

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, stated that the perpetrators should face the harshest punishment.

"This cannot be tolerated in any way. How did the crooks muster such bravery? Criminals should face the harshest punishment possible. "We care about the protection of every lady in Delhi," Kejriwal tweeted.

DCP Mandava stated that the incident was reported to the Mohan Garden police station at 9 a.m. When two males on a bike poured an acid-like fluid at the girl and fled, she was with her younger sister. The girl is a class 12 student at a Dwarka-based private school.

Although the actual reason for the alleged acid attack is unknown, police have opened an investigation and are looking into all possibilities to determine the true cause of the purported attack.

The police are reviewing CCTV cameras posted across the region to determine the routes the suspects travelled before and after the crime, as well as attempting to locate the motorcycles.

In the case of an acid attack on a school student in Delhi, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) issued a notice to the Delhi Police to apprehend the perpetrators and punish them severely.

Swati Maliwal, chairman of the DCW, stated, "We have issued a notice to the Delhi Police to apprehend the perpetrators and punish them severely. We are assisting the victim as well as her family. The bigger concern here is why retail sales of acid are still legal, after many warnings."
