    Digital Desk: As the festive season approaches, India is gearing up for a series of celebrations that include Diwali, Chhath, and more. In preparation for these festivities, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for November 2023. With a total of 15 holidays, this month marks nearly half the days as non-working for banks. The holidays are divided into three categories - Holidays Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Banks Closing of Accounts, and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays.

    While these holidays will bring physical bank operations to a halt, it's important to note that online and internet banking facilities will still be available for customers.

    The list of bank holidays in November 2023 includes a mix of national and regional holidays:

    1. November 1 (Wednesday): Kannada Rajyotsava/Karva Chauth (Karnataka, Manipur, and Himachal Pradesh)

    2. Sunday, November 5: Weekend

    3. Friday, November 10: Wangala Festival (Meghalaya)

    4. Saturday, November 11: Weekend

    5. Sunday, November 12: Weekend

    6. Monday, November 13: Govardhan Pooja (Tripura, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra)

    7. Tuesday, November 14: Diwali (Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Sikkim)

    8. Wednesday, November 15: Bhaidooj (Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh).

    9. Sunday, November 19: Weekend, Chhath

    10. Monday, November 20: Chhath Puja (Bihar and Rajasthan)

    11. Thursday, November 23: Seng Kutsnem/Egaas-Bagwaal (Uttarakhand and Sikkim)

    12. Saturday, November 25: Weekend

    13. Sunday, November 26: Weekend

    14. Monday, November 27: Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima (Tripura, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Hyderabad, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Himachal Pradesh)

    15. Thursday, November 30: Kanakadasa Jayanthi (Karnataka)
