Digital Desk: A shocking incident has rattled Bihar’s Vaishali district as a government school teacher, Gauram Kumar Rai, fell victim to an alleged kidnapping by a notorious "Pakrauwa gang" and was reportedly coerced into marriage. The distressing event unfolded at a government middle school in Repura village, Patepur police station, where Rai had recently started teaching after passing the Bihar Public Service Commission Examination.

Reports suggest that armed assailants, numbering between five to six, stormed the school premises in an SUV on Wednesday afternoon. Rai was abducted at gunpoint and taken to an undisclosed location where he was forced into a marriage ceremony with Chandni Kumari, the daughter of Rajesh Rai. Despite Rai's attempts to resist, he faced severe physical assault before being compelled into the marriage.

The incident sparked outrage among Rai’s family members, who staged protests by blocking the Mahua Tajpur state highway on consecutive days. However, district police intervened, successfully rescuing Gautam Kumar. An FIR has been filed at the Patepur police station, citing charges of kidnapping, physical assault, and forced marriage. Investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
