    Court gives Manish Sisodia nod to issue funds for work in his constituency

    Sisodia, currently incarcerated in Tihar jail since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March last year over an alleged excise policy scam, had petitioned the court to release Rs 3 crore from his MLA fund. 

    Digital Desk: An official statement released on Saturday announced that Manish Sisodia, the jailed MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, has been granted court permission to allocate funds for developmental projects in his Patparganj Assembly constituency.

    Sisodia, currently incarcerated in Tihar jail since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March last year over an alleged excise policy scam, had petitioned the court to release Rs 3 crore from his MLA fund. The allocated funds are intended for various development initiatives in Khichripur village, East Vinod Nagar, Resettlement Colony Khichripur, Railway Colony, and Mandawali, as outlined in the statement.

    The projects slated for implementation include the beautification of open spaces across seven blocks in Khichripur, development of a park in Mayur Vihar Phase-2, construction of an entrance gate in Pocket A and Firni Mod Khichripur of Mayur Vihar Phase 2, establishment of a boundary wall and grill in Pocket-4 of Mayur Vihar Phase 1, and beautification of Swati Park in West Vinod Nagar, as detailed in the statement.
