    Court orders Delhi police to file an FIR against BJP's national spokesperson Sambit Patra

    New Delhi: The District Court of Delhi has ordered the police to file an FIR against Bharatiya Janata Party’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra after he posted a doctored video of New Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on social media.





    The video allegedly showed Kejriwal supporting the controversial farm laws which were recently repealed.

    It is not for the first time that Sambit Patra has made headlines for his controversial comments. Earlier too, Patra came onto the spotlight for his controversial statements and actions for which he was warned by the court to maintain the decorum and abide by the democratic rules.





    Patra shared the doctored video of Kejriwal on Twitter and further the micro-blogging site tagged Patra’s post as manipulative media. However, Patra had deleted his tweet.





    The District Court has directed the Delhi police to register a case against Patra under 156 (3) of CrPC.
