    Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the review meeting with the states. 


    Digital Desk: States have increased their testing infrastructure nationally and issued guidelines for people to follow as coronavirus cases rose to 3,424 active cases on December 25 in India. To deal with Covid instances and stop the spread of Covid, several states have begun to take action or prepare new rules for the public to follow.

    Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the review meeting with the states. At the meeting, PM Modi requested that states and UTs take the required steps to stop the spread of COVID variant BF.7.

    The states that are getting ready for their upcoming action are listed below:

    Delhi: On December 25, all district magistrates gathered under the leadership of Amit Singla, the city's secretary for health. According to CM Arvind Kejriwal, officials would personally visit each government hospital in Delhi on Monday to assess how prepared they are to face any emergency.

    Uttar Pradesh: The COVID-19 test was made mandatory for entry into the Taj Mahal and other well-known sites in the state on Thursday by the UP administration. The chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, has ordered staff members to sequence the genomes of recent cases. He also asked the authorities to inform the populace about the importance of wearing masks, getting vaccinated, and taking other safety precautions.

    Bihar: The state government is conducting between 40,000 and 50,000 tests to look for coronavirus infection in light of the Covid-19 epidemic in China and other countries. The state is on high alert, the chief minister Nitish Kumar claims.

    Maharashtra: State Health Minister Tanaji Sawant declared on Thursday that a 5-point strategy would be implemented by the administration to address the recent threat of an upsurge in COVID-19 cases. Testing, tracking, treating, immunising, and assuring COVID-appropriate behaviour are all part of the approach. Additionally, travellers will be randomly subjected to thermal screening at airports.

    Karnataka: On December 24, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai urged people to exercise caution while assuring them that his administration is taking all essential safety measures. The health department's officials have been instructed to enhance the coverage of the booster dose.

    Rajasthan: On Thursday, the Rajasthan Health Department issued an order to all Chief Medical and Health Officers in the districts directing them to carry out random sampling at bus stops, railway stations, markets, schools, and other congested areas to identify high-risk populations and screen for cases of covid through door-to-door surveys and suspected patients in hospital OPDs.

    Jharkhand: A high-level conference to review the state's preparedness for the Covid-19 issue is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 26, according to a representative on Saturday.
