Digital Desk: A Delhi court has summoned YouTuber Dhruv Rathee in response to a defamation lawsuit filed by Mumbai BJP leader Suresh Karamshi Nakhua. This action follows allegations that Rathee labeled Nakhua as a "violent and abusive" troll in a recent video titled "My Reply to Godi YouTubers | Elvish Yadav | Dhruv Rathee," uploaded on July 7, 2024, to his YouTube channel.
Nakhua, a BJP spokesperson in Mumbai, contends that Rathee's accusations were baseless and unfounded, leading to widespread condemnation and ridicule.

“That the defendant No.1 (Dhruv Rathee), who in a highly provocative and incendiary video that spread like wildfire across digital platforms, made bold and unsubstantiated claims against the plaintiff (Nakhua). The insidious intent behind this video lies in its unfounded insinuation that the plaintiff is somehow linked to violent and abusive troll activities,” submitted the BJP spokesperson.
In his lawsuit against Rathee, Nakhua additionally asserted that the YouTuber aimed to "damage his well-established reputation in society" and "sowed seeds of doubt and distrust that could have significant repercussions." He further claimed that the impact of these allegations could result in "wounds that may never fully mend."
