In the meantime, the party said Singh was being "targeted" by the investigation agency for bringing up the Adani case in Parliament.
Digital Desk: In connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, a team from the Enforcement Directorate searched Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh's residence on Wednesday.
Prior to it, investigators had previously searched the homes of many people close to the MP.
ED investigators were spotted at Sanjay Singh's Delhi home in a video released by the news agency ANI.
In the chargesheet submitted in the liquor policy case, Sanjay Singh's name was listed.
In response to the searches, Sanjay Singh's father said, "We will work with them. The department is doing its job. When he receives approval, I'll wait."
In the meantime, the party said Singh was being "targeted" by the investigation agency for bringing up the Adani case in Parliament.
Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Rajya Sabha member for the Shiv Sena (UBT), posted on X,"The only dependent allies BJP has in NDA fold are ED, IT, CBI. What a fall for these agencies to reduce their credibility to become a tool for those in power. Condemn the raids being carried out at Sanjay Singh Jis home, it’s nothing but intimidation tactics."
Reena Gupta, a spokesman for the AAP, commented on ED raids by saying, "The ED raid is a result of Sanjay Singh's vocalisation of the Adani issue and the black money invested in his company. They (ED) didn't find anything yesterday, and they won't find anything today. None of us are afraid."
Earlier, nothing was found; today, nothing will be found today. Yesterday, raids were carried out at the homes of a few journalists, and today, raids are conducted at Sanjay Singh's home.
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST SANJAY SINGH AS PER ED
Dinesh Arora, a businessman from Delhi who was charged in the case involving the Delhi liquor policy scam, met Arvind Kejriwal at his home previously, the ED chargesheet said. Sanjay Singh was also present.
Arora told the ED in a statement that he had met Sanjay Singh at an event and had since connected with the former deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia.
According to sources, the gathering was planned to raise money ahead of the Delhi elections.
The ED chargesheet states that Dinesh Arora first met Sanjay Singh at a function at his own restaurant, Unplugged Courtyard, via whom he then connected with Manish Sisodia. In response to Sanjay Singh's request, he got in touch with a lot of restaurant owners and set up checks totaling Rs 32 lakh, which he then sent to Sisodia to collect party finances for the impending Delhi elections.
Sanjay Singh allegedly took care of one of Dinesh Arora's long-standing issues with the liquor department, according to the financial investigation agency.
On Tuesday, a Delhi court allowed Raghav Magunta, the son of YSR Congress Party Lok Sabha Member Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, and Dinesh Arora to serve as approvers in a money laundering case associated with the allegedly fraudulent Delhi liquor policy.
The CBI and ED have both detained Arora.
When Delhi's lieutenant governor VK Saxena suggested that the CBI look into allegations of corruption, the alcohol policy was abandoned.
The Delhi government is accused by the ED and CBI of allowing cartelization and favouring specific dealers who paid bribes for licences under its 2021–22 liquor policy.
