    France Government : Omicron Threat Crossed 6-Digit Figure in a Day

    Digital Desk:  Corona's new variant Omicron Threat has started creating an uproar worldwide, including France. On Saturday, the number of corona-infected patients in France has crossed the 6-digit figure.





    The health officials in the country have registered 104,611 new cases of infection in the last 24 hours. This number has reached a record high for the third consecutive day.





    The French government has also swung into action after the Public Health Agency of France reported the number of infected at a record level.

    Notably, the Public Health Agency of France report comes ahead of a video-conference meeting to be held on Monday headed by President Emmanuel Macron and key ministers. The meeting will discuss the new covid safety measures and protocols.





    The France government is also making plans to issue health cards for the vaccinated population of the country. This pass will be required to enter into restaurants, cafes, public places, and international travel to prevent the infection.





    Last month, officials of Savoie made it mandatory to wear a mask not only in indoor spaces but also outdoor.





    The new figures of corona infected are marking its rapid growth compared to the beginning of December. 





    Since December 4, the number of infected people has increased continuously, crossing 50,000 for the first time. So far, there have been 122,546 deaths due to the coronavirus in France and 76.5 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated.
