Digital Desk: Ahead of the G20 Summit in Delhi, a detailed list of prohibited items was issued on Thursday. India is all set to host the G20 Summit in the national capital from September 9-10.
For the G20 Summit, world leaders will arrive in New Delhi. The state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, will host the summit. Notably, India took over the G20 presidency on December 1 of last year, and 60 cities throughout the nation hosted 200 G20 sessions.
Here is a list of items under various categories:
1. Personal items- Lighters, Binoculars, Flasks, Umbrellas, Remote control car keys, Handy-Cams and Cameras (except for media professionals)
2. Sharp objects- Razors, Blades, Scissors, Knives
3. Guns and Firearms- Firearms, Toy guns, Replica firearms, Ammunition
4. Tools- Hammers, Saws, Drills, Screwdrivers
5. Explosive materials- Gunpowder, Flares, Firecrackers, Any type of explosives
6. Flammable items- Fuel, Alcohol, Matchboxes/ Matches, Aerosol/Gel/Paste, etc.
7. Disabling chemicals and other dangerous items may pose a danger to security
Meanwhile, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena visited Rajghat and Pragati Maidan on Thursday to assess the state of preparations. The summit will take place on September 9 and 10 at the newly constructed Bharat Mandapam International Convention and Exposition Center in Pragati Maidan.

According to sources, the Lieutenant governor (L-G) gave the order to ensure cleanliness and appropriate arrangements when inspecting Rajghat. Naresh Kumar, the chief secretary, and several top bureaucrats were accompanying him.
Several dignitaries will visit Rajghat during the summit's two days, to honor Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial. According to sources, the LG also went to the summit's Bharat Mandapam location to make sure everything was in order.
The LG told the media last week that all summit preparations had been completed and were just waiting for the finishing touches. The major event, which is expected to draw more than 30 heads of state, senior officials from the European Union guest countries, and 14 leaders of international organizations, has undergone extensive preparations, from sprucing up municipal infrastructure to security.'
