She enjoys math and coding and plans to become a game developer...
Digital Desk: The youngest videogame developer in the world is a six-year-old girl who has been featured by
Guinness World Records (GWR). At the age of 6 years, 335 days, Simar Khurana made her first video game.
The residents of Ontario, Canada, started learning to code three classes a week. Other developers were shocked by her age and found it hard to believe that a 6 years old girl could enter the world of computer programming. However, her father, Paras Khurana, kept looking for a teacher and was successful in finding one who could guide her in learning to code.
Paras Khurana, Simran's father told GWR, "Simar learnt math on her own by watching YouTube videos. She was able to do Grade 3 maths while she was in Kindergarten. She used to make crafts and games with whatever she had, sometimes just out of waste paper."
Khurana added, "I felt that my daughter would naturally excel at coding as she had an ideal combination of skills. So, I got her to try a demo coding class which she loved!"
Simar's first video game was called Healthy Food Challenge. After a doctor advised her to avoid consuming junk food, she came up with the idea.
Simar told GWR, "The doctor said I have to eat healthy, so I made a game about healthy food and junk food."
Simar wants to help kids like her learn the differences between nutritious and unhealthy food as well as why we shouldn't consume excessive amounts of junk food.
She enjoys math and coding and plans to become a game developer after she grows up.
Simar expressed her happiness with the Guinness World Record and left the door open to the possibility of breaking further records in the future.
