    G20 Summit 2023: Here's the full schedule for September 9, 10 as PM Modi hosts world leaders at New Delhi

    Global leaders from all around the world have arrived in the nation's capital ahead of the G20 Summit's inauguration...


    Digital Desk: India is all set to host the two-day G20 Summit in New Delhi from today. From a global perspective, it might be a historic moment for the G20, and India can lead an inclusive, ambitious, action-oriented, and decisive G20. Global leaders from all around the world have arrived in the nation's capital ahead of the G20 Summit's inauguration on Saturday.


    US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Argentine President Alberto Fernandez, and Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida are among the leaders who have arrived in the city. Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, also reached India. 


    The summit will be hosted at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam Convention Center at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. 


    Here's the schedule of G20 Summit 2023:


    Day 1 (Sept 9)


    9:30 am to 10:30 am: The Summit would commence with the arrival of the world leaders at the venue from 9.30 am onwards. The first session of the G20 Summit: 'One Earth' will take place at around 10.30.

     

    3 p.m. onwards: Another "One Family" session will be held as part of the Summit at 3 p.m. after the "One Earth" session is concluded and before lunch.


    7 p.m.: The dinner being hosted by Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, will start at about 7:00 p.m. Some of the nation's former top leaders will attend the G20 Summit dinner in addition to the foreign delegates, parliamentarians, and ministers in the current Cabinet.

     

    Day 2 (Sept 10) 


    At 8 a.m., delegations and leaders will assemble at Rajghat, and there will be a signing of the peace wall inside the Leaders' Lounge.


    World leaders will lay wreaths at Mahatma Gandhi's grave from 9 a.m. onwards, and then some of Gandhi's favorite devotional songs will be performed live. The leaders and delegation heads will then move to the Bharat Mandapam's Leaders' Lounge.


    10 a.m.: A tree-planting ceremony will begin at Bharat Mandapam's South Plaza. 


    The third summit session, titled "One Future," will take place there from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This will be followed by the adoption of the New Delhi Leaders' Declaration.
