Digital Desk: In wake of the Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat's call for a "shobha yatra" on Monday, heavy security precautions are in place here and in the surrounding districts, with anti-riot vehicles and drones being deployed, officials said. Authorities have denied permission for the yatra.
The Nuh district government has already directed the closure of educational institutions and banks on Monday, blocked mobile Internet and bulk SMS services, and placed prohibitory measures in the communally sensitive district.
Security personnel have been stationed at each of the district's entry points, preventing outsiders from entering Nuh. Paramilitary and members of the Haryana Police have been sent out to maintain a rigorous vigil. According to them, border security has been stepped up between states and districts.
All vehicles entering Nuh were extensively inspected by security officers, and police have constructed multiple layers of roadblocks at numerous locations. Additionally, drones and anti-riot vehicles have been used.

The Brij Mandal Shobha Yatra in Nuh, which was halted by the communal fighting in July, will resume on August 28 as called for by the Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat.
The VHP has stated that the procession will be taken out and that no permit is required for such religious gatherings. However, the authorities have denied permission for the yatra.
Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, requested on Sunday that believers refrain from participating in any "yatras" and instead offer prayers at local temples. He had also stated that the 'yatra' had not been given permission. The final Monday of the sacred month of Shravan is August 28.
24 companies of paramilitary forces and 1,900 members of the Haryana Police have been deployed, according to the police. The road leading to the Nalhar temple has also been closed, and all entrances to Nuh have been sealed.
Dhirendra Khadgata, the deputy commissioner of Nuh, has assigned 57 duty magistrates to specific locations in response to the appeal for the "shobha yatra". Moreover, he urged the populace to assist the district government in upholding law and order by working together.
Shatrujeet Kapur, the head of the Haryana Police, stated on Saturday that the government had refused permission for the yatra due to a G20 Sherpa Group meeting that was planned to take place in Nuh from September 3 to 7 and to maintain law and order in the wake of the incident on July 31.
