Here's how and where you can watch the inauguration of the New Parliament building

The official inauguration of the new Parliament building is set to begin at noon...

Digital Desk: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the New Parliament building with an extravagant celebration. The day-long event, began with a 'havan' at around 7 a.m. and was followed by multi-religious prayers. 25 political parties (including 18 members of the ruling National Democratic Alliance), spiritual gurus, and other famous individuals were present there.

The formal inauguration of the new Parliament building is slated to begin around noon time.

Where can you watch the ceremony live?

People can watch the live events on the Doordarshan (DD) channel as well as its official YouTube page. The programme will be live-streamed on all major news television stations.

PM Modi shared an early preview of the cutting-edge structure on Friday, writing, "The new Parliament building will make every Indian proud." This film provides a peek at this renowned structure." He also asked that the video be shared with their voiceover.

In addition, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday reacted to the Prime Minister's appeal by sharing a video with his own narration. He described the new parliament facility as a "magnificent new home" for the people who safeguard our constitution.

In December 2020, the Prime Minister lay the groundwork for the new building. The new Lok Sabha, which was reportedly built in record time, can hold up to 888 members, a rise from the present capacity of 543. The new Rajya Sabha building can presently accommodate 300 members. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are named after India's national birds (peacocks) and flowers (lotuses), respectively.

The complex would also include a Constitution Hall to commemorate India's democratic legacy, a lounge for members of Parliament, a library, various committee rooms, dining places, and extensive parking.

However, the inauguration has been marred by various problems, including the symbolism of 'Sengol' and the boycott of the ceremony by twenty opposition groups, including the Congress, Left, and AAP.
