    Himachal Pradesh emerge as champion in covid vaccination drive: PM Modi

    New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praises Himachal Pradesh as the state becomes the first to vaccinate 100 percent of its eligible population with the first dose of the covid-19 vaccine.






    PM Modi added that the state had given him the opportunity to be proud.






    While interacting with the workers and beneficiaries of the covid-19 vaccination program, PM Modi said, “Himachal Pradesh stands as a champion by becoming the first state to vaccinate 100 percent of its eligible population with the first dose and one-third of the population with the second dose.”






    “I have seen that Himachal Pradesh has been struggling for the basic facilities but today they emerged as the 1st to vaccinate 100 per cent of its eligible population.” added PM Modi.
    Further, PM Modi congratulated and thanked the Himachal Pradesh government for its success.






    Additionally, praising the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, PM Modi said, “The state being a hilly state had to face several problems in transportation, logistics and storage but the situation is handled by the state government efficiently.”






    PM Modi also informed that apart from Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Dadra Nagar Haveli succeeded in vaccinating 100 percent of its eligible population with the first dose of the covid-19 vaccine.
