    India's former Solicitor General Harish Salve ties knot for the 3rd time at 68: Reports

    Digital Desk: Harish Salve, the former solicitor general for India, recently tied the knot with Trina at an affluent wedding. A story from India Today reports that this is Salve's third wedding. He was earlier married to Meenakshi (1st wife) and Caroline Brossard (2020), his second wife.

    In June 2020, after 38 years of marriage, Salve and his wife, Meenakshi, divorced. They have two daughters together, Sakshi and Saaniya.

    The 68-year-old Supreme Court lawyer has been a part of several high-profile cases, including Kulbhushan Jadhav's. Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of spying. 

    Some of his well-known clients include the Tata Group, ITC Group, and Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries. In the gas issue involving Reliance Natural Resources Ltd., owned by Anil Ambani, he also made an appearance.

    He gained fame when he represented the complainant in India's Supreme Court's first anti-dumping case.

    In 2015, Harish Salve took up Salman Khan's hit-and-run case of 2002.

    Salve was appointed as the Queen's Counsel for the courts of Wales and England in January after holding the position of Solicitor General of India from November 1999 to November 2002.

    One of the busiest lawyers in the nation, Salve, received his LL.B. from Nagpur University. Before becoming the Solicitor General of India, he was named senior lawyer of the Delhi High Court in 1992.

    The lawyer was called to Blackstone Chambers and appointed to the English Bar.
