New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane has officially taken charge as the Chiefs of Staff Committee, which consists of all three service chiefs.

Group Captain Varun Singh, who was the lone survivor of the crash, too succumbed to his injuries at a military hospital in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, General Naravane yesterday spoke to Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Mutair, the Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and touched upon issues of bilateral defence ties.
