As reported by NDTV, they have lost faith in her leadership due to the police’s handling of the case. The doctor’s father remarked that although the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is making some effort, the state has been largely inactive. He revealed that he provided a page from his daughter's diary to the CBI but did not disclose its contents.

He criticized the state for professing a commitment to justice while failing to take meaningful action.
