Digital Desk: Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, praised Indian researchers for sending men to the moon through Chandrayaan 3. He also claimed that the men sent to the moon by ISRO roamed a lot on the lunar surface.

These bizzare claims were made by Lalu Prasad Yadav in his speech after a meeting of the opposition alliance I.N.D.I.A. in Mumbai.

Yadav further making hilarious claims stated, “I appeal to the scientists of ISRO that they should take PM Narendra Modi along in their next mission and send him to the Sun.”

The ISRO-launched Chandrayaan 3 successfully touched down its lander Vikram on the lunar surface on August 23, 2023. Since then, Indian politicians from various parties who seldom ever have any knowledge of space programs have displayed so many odd reactions.

Lalu Prasad Yadav is not the first politician from India who made such bizarre remarks. Earlier, Ashok Chandna, the minister for sports and youth affairs in Rajasthan, believed Chandrayaan-3 was a manned mission.

He said, “We became successful and we landed safely on the moon. I salute the astronauts who went there. With this success, our country will advance a step ahead in space science and research. I congratulate all the people of the nation.”
